The Perfect Life
"a parody on life" |
Sam dreams of the perfect life, big screen TV and a beautiful wife.
A remote control for easy nights, Fast food dinners and boxing fights.
A lazy life of beer, laying prone, and if I have to, answer the phone. |
Joe calls, wondering what's the bother, he never does anything, wouldn't rather.
I just got my new gear, for days on the river, camping and cook outs, paddling and surfing,
It takes effort, to get out and play, but is habit forming, a healthier way. |
Sam replies, sure Joe I'll join ya, Joe is in shock, you are toying, yeah?
Sam says not this time, got little time to live, my lazy ways, my body will give.
My doc's warnings, I need to heed, So what kayak do you have, with a good seat. |
Sam dreamed of the perfect life, no effort, just brain, things with no strife.
A remote control, an internet soul, fat, stress, a life not real whole.
A lazy life of beer, laying prone, and if he has to, answer the phone... |
